Funeral Director and Mortuary Embalmer
Ese Tatupu is a young humble gentleman, brought up in South Auckland. His funeral career was moulded together under the watchful eye of his mentor & teacher, respected retired funeral director in Australia & New Zealand, the late Mr Lindsay Lancaster. In his spare time Ese enjoys time with his family and friends.
Ese likes to live life to its fullest and his favourite quotes - "There should only be one person that you impress in Life in what ever you do, that is yourself”, “Life is too short, you've got to enjoy it !"
Never throughout my years growing up did I ever imagine working in this industry - let alone in a funeral home. After graduating at Baradene College, I was ambivalent about my career path. For three years I was contemplating my line of work here in New Zealand and Australia. It wasn't until I returned home from Australia that I was introduced to this industry and began working at the cemetery, Manukau Memorial Gardens.
Meeting people of all cultures, religions and ethnicities was always a highlight for me. Providing them with support and assistance was my priority and it was never a problem. I appreciated all the families and people who walked through those doors. It was then that I became inquisitive about the role of a funeral director.
Now, I am working at Ese Tatupu Funeral Directors and still I continue to uphold my morals and provide our families, our people and community with the utmost empathy, respect and support they deserve.
